Barcelona , capital of Catalonia, is a cosmopolitan Mediterranean city that incorporates in its urban street pattern Roman remains, medieval districts and the most beautiful examples of Modernism  and the avant-garde of the twentieth century .

Its history dates back to Roman origin , providing an incredible cultural development fostered newest artistic trends. In recent years, Barcelona has become one of the focus to be taken into account to capture new trends from anywhere in the world. Many artists involved in the design , the  music , the fashion , the art and cinema choose this city to live and be inspired. Barcelona is a  city with art and for art , the result of the artistic concerns that have always characterized the city.


Barcelona is in constant boiling. alternative art galleries, urban sport, festivals, fairs and exhibitions of all kinds fill the calendar with proposals that bring people to a culture always aware of trends not only of individuals, but also urban, artistic , mobility and even food. Today is one of the tourist capitals of the world for its intercultural character, lively and modern .

The city also has beautiful beaches, marinas and, not far away, saw the coastal mountain range and the Pyrenees.

Climate and annual temperatures

Barcelona has a Mediterranean climate that is pleasant most of the year, the best time being May to late July to September.

Recently the Catalan restaurant  El Celler de Can Roca , has received the award for Best Restaurant of the Planet .The restaurant, run by brothers Joan, Jordi and Josep Roca and had three Michelin stars since 2009, and for three consecutive years had succeeded in becoming the second best restaurant in the world.
